Scalloped Champagne Bucket
Scalloped Champagne Bucket
This antique scalloped champagne bucket is an unusually rare example of European silverplate design from the Belle Époque to early Art Deco period (circa 1880–1920). Unlike standard cylindrical coolers, this form features an elaborately scalloped rim, cast decorative feet, and stylized side handles — details that required more labor and hand-finishing, which is why so few were produced.
Champagne buckets of this scale and craftsmanship were reserved for the most elegant settings: fine hotels, aristocratic homes, and formal dining salons where chilled champagne was presented tableside with ceremony. Its survival in such beautiful condition makes it a collectible object of true rarity!
